Frequently asked questions
Are my ticks saved?
Yes, on this device only. They are stored in your browser, so they are not sent to us and will not appear on another phone or computer.
Is this list complete?
It is a starting point built from common travel essentials. Add anything personal, such as medicines, and check the weather and local rules for your destination.
What should I check for international travel?
Passport validity, visa or entry authorisation, insurance, plug adapter and a way to pay abroad. Use our visa and plug checkers for the details.
How to use the packing list
Choose the kind of trip you are taking: beach, city break, cold weather, business or backpacking. The list adapts the clothing and gear to that trip, and you can tick items off, add your own, and print the result or keep it open on your phone. Start a week before you leave so you have time to buy or wash what is missing.
Items that trip people up most often: a plug adapter that matches the destination (check it with the plug checker), a copy of your passport and bookings saved offline, any medication in its original packaging with enough for the whole trip plus a few days, and a power bank, which must travel in your cabin bag, never in checked luggage. Liquids in cabin bags are still limited to 100 ml containers at most airports, so decant toiletries or pack them in the hold. Roll clothes rather than fold them, leave a little empty space for what you buy, and weigh the bag at home: airline weight limits are enforced, and the fee at the desk is always higher than the one online.
